# Add or Update Menu items

## A quick guide on how to add/update Menu items.

**The user – friendly control panel allows update or changes on menu with just few clicks of a button,** [HERE](https://admin.nextorder.com.au/restaurants/menu/menu-items?restaurant=).

**Add Menu Item:**

1. Click Add Item on the appropriate Category.
2. Enter the Item Name and Description. Click on Next Step.
3. Upload a photo for the menu item. Click on Next Step.
4. Select an Item Type: Simple Menu Item of Menu Item Modifier. A modifier provisions additional options for the menu items.
5. Mark applicable Extras and indicate additional cost. If needed, you can also click on View Ingredient and Add an Ingredient Category.
6. If you want to give your customers the option to remove a particular ingredient from the item, put a checkmark on the corresponding ingredient.
7. A Preview of the menu item will be shown. Click on Save.

**Edit Menu Item:**

1\. Click on View for the menu item.

2\. Edit any detail.

3\. Click on Next Step.

4\. A Preview of the menu item will be shown. Click on Save.
